no one should be as satisfied with doing absolutely nothing as I am
no matter how long the break lasts I am not ready for it to end
I am a failure at being a good music major and I give up at it 100% done
I want to go be an undecided major next semester and take math and science courses and then transfer to another college and become a programmer
I’d schedule a meeting with my advisor about it but whoops she’s my viola teacher
just took my physics exam

today I watched a bassoon recital in which the bassoonist performed a contrabassoon duet with a friend and a goldfish named Doug, and her finale was a bassoon quartet whose members all dressed as different Disney princesses to play a medley that included Be Our Guest, Under The Sea, I See The Light, and Be a Man. also the bassoonists who joined her were all men.
yesterday I watched a concert called MOJATUBA (Modern dance, Original works, Jazz styles, African influence, with TUBA). I have never heard such a beautiful solo tone come from a tuba, nor have I ever enjoyed dancing as much as I did last night.
I like music school.
so our lessons get videotaped here at college and I have to watch it and write a reflection on it
I paused here to do something else and when I came back and saw the still image I wanted to erase my entire reflection and replace it with “bitch my lesson was fabulous”
here I was getting all sentimental and whatnot about the last night in my room
when I pick up some notebooks to pack and THIS BEETLE CRAWLS OUT.
I swear this beetle has been living in my room for at least four years.

I am very stressed about college now
because I missed how I have ANOTHER SUMMER READING BOOK on top of the one I already DIDN’T READ and also I need to get it and finish it in the next week?
not to mention all the other books my private teacher told me to get that I totally missed because I was sort of in europe uuuurrrgh
not to mention AUDITIONS I SERIOUSLY HAVEN’T PRACTICED AT ALL again y’know was TRYING to enjoy myself in europe
and so when I go to listen to some music to cheer me up and I scroll through the homestuck bandcamp page and the wanderers catches my eye and I go to play it
and it just
knows that I really wanted to listen to mayor maynot
and just randomly starts the album there
it’s like the internet itself is trying to cheer me up
